All entries must be classified as either created for CLASSROOM or COMMERCIAL purposes as the judging criteria and artifact requirements for each are different. (Click the INSTRUCTIONS tab for details.)

Fees are based first on the purpose for which the entry was created, then membership status with members receiving a 50% discount (except during the Early Bird) by entering member number at the very beginning of entry process. Check pricing before you pay because refunds will not be issued if you realize you forgot to sign in after you finalize your payment.  (Click the PRICING tab for more information.)

Like CLASSIFICATIONS above, MEDIA CATEGORIES exist for the purpose of organizing judging and explaining how to submit artifacts. One BEST OF MEDIA WINNER will be chosen for each MEDIA CATEGORY and one of those will be deemed BEST OF SHOW. PROJECT CATEGORIES are listed in bold below and will be used to select GOLD WINNERS. EXCELLENCE AWARDS will be given to all those in the SUB-CATEGORIES deemed worthy by the judges.

Examples of potential sub-categories are provided to help you determine what categories might fit your entry best. Use one listed potential SUB-CATEGORY as your primary ENTRY KEYWORD, including any others that you feel may apply in your ENTRY DESCRIPTION in case sub-categories are merged.

Each entry must fit one of the PROJECT CATEGORIES listed below.

We understand that an entry might cross over several PROJECT CATEGORIES. Select the PROJECT CATEGORY in which you think your entry fits most accurately in terms of its purpose, or enter the same piece in more than one PROJECT CATEGORY. Please be aware that you’ll be required to pay an additional fee for each PROJECT CATEGORY, even if the entry is exactly the same, and you must submit multiple physical samples for multiple PROJECT CATEGORY entries.

Judges retain the right to reclassify entries from one category to another, expand categories by sub-categories depending on the quantity and quality of entries, or to select only components of any submission for honors.
